The new Mariënpoel Hotel Leiden is distinguished by its special atmosphere.
Jugendstil was the style architect H.J. Jesse chose to embrace
in his design of this building which was constructed in 1907. Now the building
meets all the requirements of modern times and has full fire protection. Successful
renovations in 2001 resulted in an impressive combination of function and
style while the classic character of the building was preserved. The Mariënpoel
Hotel, on the corner of the Mariënpoelstraat and the Rijnsburgerweg,
owes its name to the medieval Mariënpoel monastery that once stood opposite.
The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre, Central Station,
the Bio-Science park and the University as well as the Leiden University Medical
Centre (LUMC).
Also within easy reach are the cities Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam and
the cheerful seaside resorts Katwijk, Noordwijk and Scheveningen.
The Mariënpoel Hotel, for all seasons!
Open all year!
